How To Thrive In ‘25!

Every year there’s a plethora of resolutions that people make but instead of being radical and demanding a ‘New Year New You’, why not take a more nurturing approach and perhaps introduce one or two positive rituals into your day or even your week to start off with? We can often be made to feel guilty or ‘less-than’ especially when we compare our lives and bodies to others in either the public eye or social media. Our hectic lifestyles and daily stress can get the better of us so I thought that I would suggest some products and treatments that you can have at home or that you can venture out to experience. In fact the uk wellness industry is soaring as more people realise the need and benefits of selfcare with a report by Global Wellness Institute ranking the UK as the 5th largest wellness economy in the world and the second largest in Europe, reaching £171billion in 2022. Some of the things that I use to look after myself physically and mentally include monthly Sound Healing sessions called Gong Bath, which involve lying down in a room whilst someone creates sound from various sized ‘gongs’ or crystal bowls which emit a sound frequency that induce meditative states . Going for a 30 min Mindfulness Walk, is a simple way to get out in nature and take a route where you acknowledge the beauty of your surroundings as you walk. Focusing on the path and immediate route will help you to stay in the present moment , rather than thinking of a million and one things to do or that you have done. Put your phone away and on silent for this one. I have also valued the practise of deep breathing and every morning before I even look at my phone I do 10 mins of breathwork where I breathe in through the nose for 4 counts, hold for 2 and then exhale again through the nose for 8 counts. And repeat. Try this with either your eyes closed visualising the breath going in and out, or by focusing on part of the garden of a flickering candle. We can all make some time for ourselves whether it’s the 5mins in the shower focusing on the sensation of the water and how it feels on our bodies , to getting into bed 10mins earlier than normal and giving thanks to what we are grateful for that day.
Sometimes the smallest of changes can make the biggest of impacts and being kinder to ourselves in 2025 is a great way to start.

These are some of the therapies that are set to be super popular in 2025:
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy ( HBOT) involves breathing almost pure oxygen in a special room or small chamber. It floods your cells with up to 800% more oxygen , promoting healing and enhancing vitality, whilst reducing inflammation. It not only energises your body but stimulates collagen and new tissue production . People with all sorts of ailments are having great results from this therapy.
Fancy this? Then book a Blissful Body Relax Package , The North West Well-being Hub, £130 for 4 hours www.thenorthwestwellbeinghub.co.ukThis is a wonderful sanctuary in New Brighton on the Wirral and has an array of services to help rejuvenate you inside and out but they specialise in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as well as Red Light Therapy . This particular package includes 1.5 hours of HBOT, 1 hour massage of choice, 20minutes red light therapy, 20 minutes PEMF Energy Healing and a health smoothie.

Red Light Therapy uses the red portions of the spectrum to stimulate cellular repair and help to strengthen the mitochondria, which is the powerhouse of the cell that produces ATP ( adenosine triphosphate) . By boosting ATP, cells can function more efficiently , repair damage and reduce inflammation. From at home hand held devises and masks to mats and full body lamps red light is proving popular. There is of course a difference in the spectrum strength. Red Light LED ( Light Emitting Diode) at-home masks typically work on the epidermis of the skin to help with skin tone, texture and lines. Whilst Red Light Therapy uses more powerful wavelengths of red light and near-infrared light to penetrate deeper into the skin to help muscle recovery, reduce inflammation, improve circulation and enhancing collagen production. Fancy this? Then book
Dr Nassif Medical Spa- Hydrafacial Platinum , £200 for 90mins, www.nassifmedspa.co.ukDr Paul Nassif is a pioneer and leader in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery. Based in Beverly Hills , Dr Nassif has now opened his first luxurious clinic in England at MediaCityUK Manchester and offers a wide range of pampering services. This non-invasive facial involves a six step procedure: detoxifying lymphatic elimination then deep cleanse and exfoliation followed by a brightening peel. Pores are then cleared using a gentle extraction method followed by your very own personalised booster treatment. These boosters include HydraGlucan Booster, Vitamin C Booster, Retinol Booster etc depending on your needs. Finally LED light therapy boosts collagen and gives a glow to the skin.

Cupping- ancient eastern treatment using mild suction on certain points of usually the back to help the flow of Qi ( vital energy) through the spines meridians. Acupuncture needles are sometimes used alongside Cupping. The results help ease pain and stiffness whilst reducing inflammation. You can feel a little sore immediately afterwards which is normal . I’ve had this done and felt fantastic afterwards. Fancy this? Then book Marie Reynolds London- 6 week Detox & De-Stress , £1116, Norfolk Clinic only, www.mariereynoldslondon.com This is a six week program starts with a 30 minute targeted Hyperbaric Therapy with Colonic Hydrotherapy.
