Celebrity hair stylist Dar and Glamour Guru, Armand, in association with Pevonia opened Hair By Dar salon in India.
When hairdresser to the stars, Dar, had confirmation of the opening of his flagship salon in India, there was only one person he wanted to take with him and help launch it... Armand!
Dar Barot, is an internationally successful hairstylist with clients that range from international royalty to Bollywood royalty. With over 25 years in the industry, Dar has built up an enviable list of clientele as well as doing shoots for Vogue, Tatler, Harpers and Asiana. Based at Hari's salon on Kings Road in London, Dar's passion is to give his clients the very best, making them look and feel fantastic. He was introduced to Armand, through their mutual friend, eyebrow guru, Shavata and have since worked together on many clients from Hollywood legend, Goldie Hawn to Atomic Kitten singer, Natasha Hamilton. So when Dar approached Armand to travel with him to India to open a salon at the Kempinksi hotel in Delhi, Armand jumped at the chance! However, it was much more than just an 'opening', indeed the glitterati of Delhi along with the national press were there as a whole evening of music, entertainment and fashion had been planned in honour of Dar's salon launch! Dar and Armand were creative directors in a fashion show highlighting the latest collection by fashion designer Ritu Beri, along with hair and makeup by the dynamic duo and their team.
Armand was also asked to host the entire evening! He did... And he loved it!!!!
Bollywood fashion guru, Ana Singh was also on hand to support Dar as well as actresses and socialites... The event was a huge success and so began Armand's love affair with India!
